Here the information concerning the meetings held in 2011 whithin Action ES0903.
2011 FIRST YEAR MEETING
2011/2012 SECOND YEAR MEETINGS
WG2&3 MEETING - Bornemouth (UK)
Date: 12/09/2011
The Remote Sensing and Photogrammetry Society Annual Conference, which took place in Bournemouth on September 13-15, has been focused on “Earth Observation in a Changing World” and brought together researchers and practitioners facilitating the discussion of key issues in the science, technology and application of photogrammetry and remote sensing. COST ES0903 researchers participated to the meeting, and a WG 2 meeting has been organized on September 12. The meeting was focused on the comparison of different spectroradiometers for optical measurements. To this regard, the preliminary results of an experiment organized during the Summer School of Optical sampling have been discussed.
WG4 MEETING - Leipzig (D)
Date: 17 November 2011
The meeting has been focused on optical model assimilation into biogeochemical models and on the role of remote sensing I n upscaling carbon fluxes at the regional/global level.
WG1 MEETING - Firenze (IT)
Date: 12-13/12/2011
The meeting has been focused on the results of the flight campaign carried out during the Summer School of Optical Sampling. Some of the trainers and the students who have been involved in the experiments at Viote del Monte Bondone (including hyperspectral data collection, carbon dioxide monitoring at 5 eddy covariance sites, ground calibration of imagery using spectroradiometers on white/grey/black targets) have had the opportunity to discuss the pleliminary results and to focus on future publications.
PLENARY MEETING (+MC: 26 January) - Milan (Italy)
Date: 26-27 January 2012
The plenary conference of the second year of EUROSPEC has been focused on intercomparison issues. The results of the scientific activities have been reported by the researchers (trainers, trainees) involved in the joint experiments carried out during the Summer Schools of Optical Sampling. Also, the students who participated to the Short Term Scientific Missions have presented the outcomes of their research.
