WG4) Upscaling: scaling Biophysical Parameters (BP) and fluxes from the ecosystem at upper levels.
Spectroradiometric measurements across different ecosystems at different scales will be performed using innovative approaches, The Action will put together data coming from several sites of the same type of ecosystem (e.g grassland, forest) and different upscaling methods to single out the potentialities of the different approaches for each ecosystem.
Deliverables:
i) Review on the comparison of site level measurements with remote sensing products
ii) Assessment of the role of high temporal resolution spectral data (e.g. PRI) at site level as an input to different models in scaling up terrestrial fluxes
iii) Report on the impact of canopy architecture and illumination conditions on the upscaling quality
